Deal Alert - Free Shipping

Shipping charges are the number one deterrent for people contemplating ordering wine online.  Cameron Hughes is doing away with shipping on orders of 6 or more bottles this week.  When you factor in the savings on tax, plus the deals you're already getting from CH Wine, it's a no brainer.

Unless you already have 5 cases of their wine in your basement like I do.

  1. The Lot 189 you recommended is GONE. Any other suggestions?

  2. Hi Robin,

Yeah, good question as many of the recommendations sell out quickly. Here's what I can tell you:

I have had the Lot #203 Pinot Noir and it's good - not insanely good, but it's hard to even find a drinkable Pinot for under $20 these days, let alone an enjoyable one, so I like that as one option.

I've also had the 188 (Chalk Hill Cab) and 190 (Alexander Valley Cab) and neither wowed me.

Though I've not had them yet and they are at the higher end of the price scale at CHW, the 211 and 217 are what I'd be considering next. High end Cab is what Cameron does best, so those should be good bets.

    Hope that helps!

  3. This just in: just opened the 218. It rocks. The 217 reference above is a typo.

    That is all.

  4. Due to the sheer size of the modern RoRo vessels they are capable of holding up to a staggering 6,000 cars per sailing, and coinciding with how easy the vessels are to load due to them just having the cars drive up a ramp into the vessels and then having them park up and be secured for the rest of the journey, they are very much like a floating car park. atlantic way

  5. This blog. This excellence. Something to go over again and again?
